To call Armin Strom's Mirrored Force Resonance extraordinary or revolutionary, perhaps the best words to describe a timepiece, would still be an understatement. It came as an answer to a 200-year-old horological problem - the problem of sustaining a consistent state of resonance. The mastermind at Armin Strom Claude Greisler created a patented clutch spring design. This clutch could retain the perfect state of resonance through the harmonious synchronisation of a pair of oscillators while they oscillate in opposite directions. The invention, released in 2016, instantly earned the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.
In 2018, the brand gave an attractive facelift to this genius creation, adding a beautiful guilloche dial designed exclusively by master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen. While the dial, adhering to the house's celebrated philosophy of - transparent mechanics has always served as the primary lure, became even more engaging instantly. In addition to the esoteric vista of hypnotically pulsating clutch spring and synchronised movement of the balance wheels, one more detail on the dial now captures attention. It won't be wrong to say that this modification also added some level of modern aesthetical appeal to the watch.
