Returns Policy


We have a 10-day return policy, which means you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. 

To start a return, you can contact us at service@detec.in. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Detec does not encourage indiscriminate buying and returning. It not only financially hurts the seller, the staff's efforts but also harms the environment, in so much that many litres of fuel and excess CO2 is released just to send and pickup an item, which could have been avoided. So please make an informed decision before buying.

However to make sure that the customer's interest are also protected, we offer 10-day returns, but only if they meet the following 3 conditions:

  1. The goods are physically damaged
  2. The product is not working
  3. You have been delivered something different from what you have ordered

 

General Returns Policy

Products are returnable within the applicable return window if you’ve received them in a condition that is physically damaged, has missing parts or accessories, defective or different from their description on the product detail page.
If you report an issue with your Smartphone, Tablet, Laptop, Television, Air Conditioner, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Microwave, we may schedule a technician visit to your location. A resolution will be provided based on the technician's evaluation report.
Return will be processed only if:
it is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession;
the product is not different from what was shipped to you;
the product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user manual, warranty card and all the accessories therein).
If you wish to return an electronic device that stores any personal information, please ensure that you have removed all such personal information from the device prior to returning. Detec shall not be liable in any manner for any misuse or usage of such information.
Products may not be eligible for return in some cases, including cases of buyer's remorse such as incorrect model or color of product ordered or incorrect product ordered.
Products marked as "non-returnable" on the product detail page cannot be returned.
Additional information is not required to return an eligible order unless otherwise noted in the category specific policy.
Products may be eligible for replacement only if the same seller has the exact same item in stock.
If the replacement request is placed and the seller does not have the exact same product in stock, we will provide a refund.
Note: If you've received a non-returnable product in a damaged/defective condition, you can contact us within 10 days from the delivery of the product.

Cash on Delivery Orders

For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds will be processed to your bank account (via National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT)).

If you wish to receive the Cash on Delivery order’s refund to your bank account, you can send the details of your bank account from your registered email address.

Note: Refunds cannot be processed to third-party accounts.

 

Cheque

All cheque refunds will be in form of "at par" PNB Bank cheques. If you plan to present the cheque in person in any other city, ensure that your beneficiary bank sends the cheque for outstation clearing.

In case you plan to drop your cheque in a clearance box, please note the following:

- If you are dropping the cheque in a clearance box in any of the above cities, use the box marked Local Cheques.

- If you are dropping the cheque in a clearance box in any other city, use the box marked Outstation Cheques.

Failing to follow the above instructions might result in the cheque not being processed and a penalty being levied by the bank.

Note: Once a cheque is issued, we will send you an e-mail with the tracking details of the refund cheque within 4 business days from the date of refund.

 

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

 

Cancellation Policy
For canceling your orders, please send us a request on email on sales@detec.in along with your order number and reason for cancellation (optional). Charges for cancellation are as below:

A) If payment method is COD and if cancelled within 2 hours of order placement, cancellation request will be accepted and no charges for cancellation will be taken .

B) If payment method is COD and if cancelled after 2 hours of order placement, cancellation request will be accepted but booking amount will NOT be refunded in case of order cancellation.

C) If payment method is prepaid and item has not been shipped, cancellation request will be accepted and order cancellation will be charged at 5% of order value or Rs.200, whichever is higher.

D) If payment method is prepaid and item has been shipped, cancellation request will be accepted and order cancellation will be charged at 10% of order value or Rs.400, whichever is higher.

E) If payment method is prepaid and item has been procured specifically for you (Item has been manufactured or bought specifically for you), order cancellation will be charged at 20% of order value or Rs.800, whichever is higher. Balance amount will be refunded only when the product is sold to another customer.
